Need help - new to MD

Ask about specific settings, like fabric properties, or the difference between the sewing tools. These would be things you would expect to see in a software manual.

Need help - new to MD

Post by zlatkomkd » Tue May 19, 2020 10:08 am

Hi All.
If someone could help me I would really appreciate.
I am new to MD and I am trying to animate a curtain with a wind controller.
In the scene, I have some colliders and when the curtains start moving it sticks to the colliders (see image attached)
How can I solve this so the curtain won't glue itself to the bathtub in the case.
Cheers

This was posted in the wrong place, so I've moved it.

What do you mean by colliders? These must be geometry that you imported into MD. How something behaves in MD depends on the settings you used on the imported item. I think the issue is with the item, not MD.

Check the normals on your 'collider' objects. The behavior shown in your pic indicates that the cloth is moving into them. It does this because MD cloth is programmed to be on the 'outside' of an object **as defined by the normals**. If your normals are reversed (and pointing to the interior) then that is where the cloth will move.
