how to quantize rotation of avatar in 3D view?

Ask about specific settings, like fabric properties, or the difference between the sewing tools. These would be things you would expect to see in a software manual.

how to quantize rotation of avatar in 3D view?

Post by tomcooper3d » Wed Aug 28, 2019 2:02 pm

beginner question here and Im sure there should be an easy answer to this (I just cant find it online) . when using the basic widget to rotate an avatar or pattern in 3d view, where do i see how many degrees I have rotated it? i just want to rotate it a solid 90 degrees without eyeballing it. and shift or control dont work to increment the rotation to even amounts. i must be missing something. a quick point in the right direction would be much appreciated.
thank you!

Off the main top menu select Display > Viewpoint and then select a direction. You an also use the number keys as shortcuts. This allows you to move more precisely within the 3d window.

Another method is to right-click on the 3d window background. This also brings up the viewpoint options.

Good luck!
