Unexpected lines rendered

Ask about specific settings, like fabric properties, or the difference between the sewing tools. These would be things you would expect to see in a software manual.

Along tne lines of merging 2 pieces appears thick line I can't get rid of. Have anyone any ideas how to do this and what it can be?

Is this 'rendered' inside MD? I have tried to duplicate what you have described, and not seen the 'merge' indicator line show up in the 3D window at all.

I get the same thing. It's a bug in version 6. I've reported it.

nightingalestale, please report it in the program as an Issue, so they know lots of people are seeing this. Hopefully, they will prioritize it.

It shows up in the 3D window and also in any Snapshots that you take. I've had to Photoshop my images for the book. A bit annoying.

I'm working with MD 6 Personal 2.5.73 (r20490). Do you have a more recent version Rosemary?

I am using the same version, Lori, but I don't see anything in either the 3D working window, or in the MD snapshot image.

Very strange. I get it consistently. That is worrisome when an issue is not always replicated using the same version.

Hmm.... I am now seeing it, on *some* patterns. If I create two patterns and merge them, and then 'Unfold' to create a full pattern, the merge indication lines only show up on the original half of the pattern.

As you say, perplexing.....

This is old but I'll post it anyway.

If it's a Merge purple line:

1. Right Click 2D viewport and Lock All Patterns.
2. 2D Pattern > Trace I.
3. Select the purple line(s) and press Delete.

If it's an Offset purple line:

1. Move the parent pattern to a place where it doesn't overlap other patterns.
2. 2D Pattern > Trace I.
3. Select the purple line(s) and press Delete.
