Need help with half saree design

Hi,
I am a newbie to marvelous designer and I have created half saree dress. The saree is just one pattern which I have multiple pinning in several places. For the blouse and petticoat I have used some stitching. Actually,this is what my goal is

You are off to a good start. I will post the same information here, that I posted over at the MD forum, as others may find the information useful as well.

Just as a suggestion: use a full circle for the skirt portion (with another circle cut out for the waistline), to create the deep folding effect the easiest way, or you can try to actually imitate the pleating of the front (as is most commonly done in saris).
There are several (very early) discussions about saris, that may help in your construction efforts.
