Hi anyone,
I´m new to MD. I need the Programm to visuallize a sofa for my bachelor degree. I have some questions and I'm so greatful, if could someone help me out.

First: The picture with lines, I need the lower part, you see to in yellow, at a height of 30 mm, it should be flat and not sthrinking. How can I handle this?

The other one is, that sometime my pattern doesn't fit the model (Avater), so it's not nestled around the avatar. It disappears, or goes into the avatar. sometimes the whole pattern, sometimes just smaller pieces. I can never manage that the avatar is completely covered.
thanks in advance :)

Lisa

For the first images, with the box for an avatar, the reason that the cloth is moving inside the box, is that your normals are reversed on the avatar. We can tell this because it is so dark. That is MD's way of indicating the 'wrong' side of a cloth or object. MD cloth is programmed to stay on the 'front' side **as determined by the direction of the normals***. In your case, with the normals pointing to the interior, that is where the cloth want to go.

For the flat bottom issue, position your bottom pieces where you want them, then use the Freeze option to have them stay there. The other pieces can be sewn to them, and the bottom pieces won't move, while the upper piece will simulate into position.
