Help Me with this leather jacket

I started this leather jacket and i have no idea where to go next or even if i am going the right way!!!! Pleaase HEelp asap

Pretty good start.
What you need is a bit of alterations on the starting patterns.
In this example, I have a shirt that meets in the middle (ignore the darts). What you want to do is pull the points of that middle seam over. Top point comes over a further distance than the lower point, to make that overlapping shape. Assuming you have symmetry turned on, both sides will take the alteration.

Then add an internal line, (to secure the edges) and sew them down.
Here, I've let one side be sewn less than the other, to demonstrate the turned-over section in action.

Just adjust the alteration amount to suit your desires.
