Re: UV editor not showing UV maps

That is very strange. I don't use the templates, so this isn't something that I've seen. It sounds like a bug to me. Have you tried reporting it to MD through their Issue system?

Marvelous Designer Contest

Have you guys seen this? It's a great opportunity to show off your MD skills. Allegorithmic and CLO Virtual Fashion are teaming up to launch a new contest with an old twist: the “David & Diana: Apparel Creation Contest” challenges users to design and create original articles of clothing for two of t...

Re: Export stitches on the UV map?

Nope, not that I'm aware of. Every single stitch in topstitches are objects. It's no wonder that your game chokes. Blender slows way down, too. My only suggestion is to take a hi-res model with the topstitching into something like Blender and bake out a normal map. I know, its a lot of work. I don't...

Re: Can't delete a 2D Pattern - Graphic

Now I see what you mean. In your image you have a rectangle pattern selected with pattern images on it. With the pattern selected, look over in the Object Browser on the Fabric tab. See the fabric with the name in orange? (not the checkmark, the name). Select the Fabric with the orange name in the O...

Re: MD in the News

Welcome to the forum Janice. We're glad you are here.

I doubt that MD can be used for earrings or jewelry. My book doesn't cover anything like that.

Interesting Use of Marvelous Designer

I thought some of you might enjoy this short video. It is definitely an unusual use of MD.

Re: Can't delete a 2D Pattern - Graphic

You say you have a "graphic pattern". What do you mean by that? Can you provide a screenshot or something? I'm not sure what you are referring to, so I don't have an answer without more information.

Re: Virtual Fashion Show using MD/Clo3D

The CLO and MD products are very different. MD is for 3D graphics and CLO is more garment industry. Although you can have a walk animation in MD, I think you are more interested in the CLO version. CLO is what fashion designers would be using. I was able to find animation in the CLO manual. There ar...

Re: Newbie - Collision Problem

As Rosemary said, it would be great to see your pattern layout in the 2D window. Once thing I do see is the blue outlines indicative of using the Layer property on the patterns. Did you set Layers in the Property Editor? It isn't a good idea to use those unless absolutely necessary. They are very fi...
