An Internal Line. Sorry you had issues with the sign-up, but it does keep the trolls out pretty well.

Re: Hi Lori! What's the best way to learn to make PERFECT-FIT patterns

If you are looking for a good fit, it is not easy to modify an existing garment to fit another body. As you know, when you draft a pattern all the measurements are used at different points. Dropping an armhole or widening the pattern is not going to result in a great fit. You are correct about your ...

Re: Hi Lori! What's the best way to learn to make PERFECT-FIT patterns

Hi itsheyli, Thanks for taking my class, I really appreciate the support. What Rosemary is saying is true. All patterns in the real world are created from slopers or basic block patterns as a starting point. Then the patterns are manipulated using different techniques. I am in the process of creatin...

Re: Corset and Hoop Boning

You can do this by using a very stiff preset fabric or creating your own. In the past, I've used the full-grain leather preset to create things that are very stiff. You can set that preset, look at all the settings, then create your own setting that mimics steel.

Hope that helps.

Re: Exporting Lace or trim OBJ

Can you be more specific as to what you are doing? You are exporting out of MD to some other program? What format are you exporting in?

Lace and trim sound like materials or textures. They would have nothing to do with geometry.

Learn About Marvelous Designer Version 8

I wanted to share a couple resources for learning about MD version 8 upgrades. First, I have a short YouTube video that you can watch for free that covers a couple of the biggest features. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ur2wFWiUfsU If you want to learn about all the features, I created a class over...

Re: Lori, where can I find your pattern maker?

PatternMaker PRO has been taken down completely. It is not available anymore, sorry. I am in the process of creating a new class for Udemy that will teach you how to make your own patterns. Maybe that will help? It won't be available for awhile, but I will announce it on my YouTube channel when it's...

Re: Edges aren't going to proper alignment

The new Pattern from UV Map does come in sewn, although MD can make some odd choices in regard to the vertices created and the sewing. If you want to see all the new features of 8 in action, you can sign up for my Udemy course (note, it is not free). https://www.udemy.com/marvelous-designer-version-...

Re: MD keeps crashing please help

You both need to tell MD about this. Use the Issue Reporting button in the upper right.

I hope this isn't your Ryzen because I'm putting in a brand new 2700X in a couple days.

Please post back when you hear from MD so everyone can benefit.

Thanks.
