Re: Help! My avatars are translucent!!

This is a long standing issue in MD. It can't handle a PNG greater than 24 bit. They've actually added an error box that will pop up that states this in the latest version. However, the pop-up is not consistent. Although I've seen it, I can't seem to get it to show. If you have Photoshop (or some ot...

Re: Error Reporting Not Working?

I think it was just temporary. Seems to be fine now.

Thanks for letting me know about it working for you.

Re: UV editor not showing UV maps

Wow, that's awful. MD did add something called Remove Modular Relationship. Maybe if you did this the pattern would just be "regular" and work? Just guessing here.

Right-Click the modular block > Remove Modular Relationship

Re: exporting jeans to daz with visible decorative seams?

Use the Trace tool to select just that corner for copying/cloning. You can get more info on the trace tool from the MD manual, or you can purchase my web-book.

There's a lot of info in there that you might find useful.

Re: Substance Painter?

The tutorials that you can find do not apply to MD at all. I found that out myself. One of the steps they always how is baking maps after bringing in your model. That is utterly worthless with MD patterns because they have no shape, per se. That are just flat planes. I saved the model and garments a...

Can you provide some screenshots or images? It's hard to help without knowing what is happening in MD.

Re: exporting jeans to daz with visible decorative seams?

Sewing line types are really all about the Fold Angle of the sewn seam. Fold Angle is also a component of internal lines and that is really the easiest way to illustrate the concept. When you sew two patterns together that surround the body, like a t-shirt (both patterns facing the same way, away fr...

Re: Substance Painter?

I just had my first intro to Substance Painter by entering their MD / SP David & Diana contest. It is powerful software. Where are you taking your model after creating the textures? Are you going from MD to Substance to Unity? Or maybe out to Blender for renders or animation? I can probably work up ...

Re: how to make morph targets in MD for Daz

Thank you for the compliment, I appreciate it. I'm afraid I don't do DAZ, so I'm no help there. Hopefully someone will chime in to help you.

Re: exporting jeans to daz with visible decorative seams?

I'm not a DAZ person, but I'll try to help. Stitches in MD are individual OBJ objects. The seams you see in the 3D window in MD are created with normal maps. You'll have to apply texture maps in DAZ to get the same affect, I think.
