In DS go to Edit > Geometry > Convert to SubD Under the object's parameters tab, and under Mesh Resolution, you can change the SubD algorithm from Catmark to Loop, which is better for thick meshes exported from MD (it doesn't smooth and round the mesh boundaries and corners). I can do many things in MD, but the seam puckering and 'lived in' wrinkles just don't happen in the program. That's not really the case. I think it's intended for smoothing out those areas that are very difficult to form around the avatar, especially if you have a number of different avatars to fit the one pattern to.
